PCL Korean Study Class

Adapting to Korean culture can be disorienting. There are different customs, social mores, and, of course, a new language to learn. To make life easier for the expat in Seoul, the PCL Korean Class can help you learn about Korea's People, Culture, andLanguage (hence, "PCL"). Best of all, the class is FREE because it is offered as a ministry of Presbyterian Church of the Lord (yes, also "PCL"). Find out more about our English Ministry here. No, you do not need to join the church to take the class.

We offer multiple levels of instruction, from absolute beginner to advanced speaker. Classes meet every Saturday (from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm) in Jamsil-dong, Seoul.

If you are interested in joining, please follow these instructions: 1) sign up for this meetup; (2) send an email to pclkorean@gmail.com and tell us your level of experience with the language.

It is best to sign up before the semester begins. We can't guarantee admission once a semester has started. However, if there is room and it is not too late, you will receive an email inviting you to come to the class. If the class is full or the semester too far along, look for an announcement on our page regarding registration for the next semester (we operate on a trimester schedule).

On top of the regular class, we have activities designed to improve your listening skills and expose you to different aspects of Korean culture, such as our monthly Hallyuwood Film Club, which showcases Korean films with English subtitles. In addition, we will have occasional outings to cultural events.

We look forward to seeing you soon! 안녕히 계세요!
